Fishing Specialty Week

Fresh and saltwater fishing is a very popular activity at Camp Bournedale. Taking full advantage of Camp Bournedale being located on Great Herring Pond, campers can fish either from our expansive docks or from our pontoon boat.

Freshwater Fish (available in our lake) include yellow perch, white perch, pickerel, small and large mouth bass.  Our staff are there to teach new campers to fish, or to help more experienced campers increase their fishing skill levels. Either way, we find fishing helps kids develop patience and love of the outdoors.

We Also Ocean Fish!
Our trip for the fishing week is an afternoon of saltwater fishing on the Captain John Boats.

Our saltwater fishing trips utilize the wonderful opportunities of the nearby Cape Cod Canal – one of the top Striped Bass locations in the USA. We fish from a strategically placed dock, located along the canal, which allows for great “casting” development for kids. Salt water species we catch include, striped bass, bluefish, tautog, and summer flounder. We will provide the gear and bait for saltwater angling!
