DAILY FISHING

Enjoy the breathtaking views of Great Herring Pond while fishing from our spacious dock. Fishing is a very popular activity for campers of all ages who are looking for a more serene pastime.

Campers can sign up for fishing as a class period activity or just head down to the waterfront for supervised fishing during free time. During a fishing class period, campers will have the opportunity to bring their gear and head out on our 20-foot pontoon boat to take advantage of some of the best fishing areas on the pond. Here, campers are afforded a refreshing breeze, and an awesome tour of the pond and will hopefully return with the ultimate prize: a smallmouth bass or a white perch!

Counselors actively work with campers, teaching them how to bait a hook and troubleshoot any rod or reel issues. Additionally, when a catch is made, staff assist campers in the safe catch-and-release process.

Evening fishing adds another dimension with cooler temperatures and beautiful sunsets.
